After a nice week of weather last week, where Jordie and Mom could go for walks in the middle of the day, the temps started going back up today. And Mom was tired of not allowing Jordie to go in the lake or in a pool. We know, we know...some babies are already doing freestyle laps at the family pool. Not the Hawkins family, we're laying low this summer in the extreme heat and sunshine. Jordie has at least a few years before she needs to start competing for the summer Olympics. This year she will be content with watching them on tv. However, we did come up with a solution for cooling this hot little chick down. Put Jordie in a large tub of water and let her float around on her back!

Hey Mom! How come I am a naked fairy and you have on that swimsuit! Did you trick me into taking a bath!
Jordie was super relaxed while floating in the tub. It made Mom and Dad laugh to see her hair floating in the water behind her. We know she has a ton of hair, but when you see it everyday it stops seeming so unusual. But then you see her in a new setting, and you are surprised all over again.

There is no way you are getting me into that tub! Jordie can have all the baths she wants!

Over so soon, we better party in the tub every time we hang at gammy and grampys house.
We took it pretty easy today, but Mom and Jordie did run to Harris Teeter, where Jordie had her first meltdown in Aisle 3. She was no longer amused by looking at all the items on the shelf, and the ladies passing by talking about how cute she is. Lucky for Mom, she is a pretty happy girl all the time and needed a little TLC and she calmed right down.

I need some sleep, I have to get ready for Mom's last full week at home. We have tons to do before she headhHs back to work.
