We are not sure who is more confused when they wake up these days, Mom and Dad or Jordie? RaRa and Grampy are still in Florida, so we were back at the Lake to help watch the dogs for another night. The good part about waking up at the Lake on a Sunday is that we get to dress up and go to church.

While we were leaving church, we talked to RaRa and Grampy from Florida and learned the upsetting news that our dear, sweet Grandma Toddie (Elinor Tod Hecht) had lost her long, hard fought battle with cancer. We mention it here for Jordie, so she will look back one day and know what a special Great Grandma that Grandma Toddie was and how much she loved Jordie. We were very blessed to have been able to visit Grandma Toddie less than 2 months ago with Jordie and made Grandma Toddie's year. The smiles and laughs that weekend were too many to even mention. Grandma Toddie had two wishes that weekend, however, we could only let her get away with one of them. Taking Jordie into the Atlantic Ocean was easy, but Grandma really wanted her to try her peppermint ice cream:) We can only hope Jordie will strive to do as Grandma Toddie did all her life and win friends with ease. Over the last week we flooded RaRa with photos on her phone, so Grandma Toddie could keep up with Jordie not only on the blog, but as often as possible. At one point on Friday, Grandma took RaRa's phone and hugged Jordie's photo tight. She loved this little peanut as much as anyone. Grandma Toddie will be missed greatly, but we know she is shining down on all of us, but especially our little peanut.

On such a tough day, we did all we could to bring a little sunshine to our day, including putting Jordie's hot pink jogging suit on for the first time.

Juicy!
I had to include a few more in the jogging suit.

If I am going to wear a jogging suit, I might as well work out.
We took a little trip to Birkdale for lunch and to walk around the shops. Jordie really needed a hat to kick off spirit week at school. After Birkdale, we stopped by and saw Jack and Kathy King. Amazingly, Jordie decided today would be the day she would play the piano for the first time. It is amazing because it was Grandma Toddie's favorite past times. Every time Jordie would hit a key and make a sound she would look at Mom and Dad and a big smile would come across her face. Our guess is that there were a lot of smiles in Heaven on each note. Later in the afternoon, it was time to head home.

What?

Thought I would try on my hat for tomorrow. How does it look?
