Day 108 - Gloria....

It is one of Jordie's favorite days, it is Friday.  This Friday is going to be a great day, but a different Friday for Jordie.  Sadly, she will say goodbye to Gee, but Mom and Dad came home early to head to the airport.  Jordie took her first plane ride to visit her Great Grandma Toddie for the first time.

Just seems like another Friday to me.  I am hanging on my mat and holding on to my blanket!

We were all sad that today was Gee's last day of a great two weeks.  It was really nice to have Gee around the house to watch over not only Jordie, but also Jordie's Mom, Dad and Jordie.  Gee was heading back to the mountains today for some much needed and much deserved rest.

Gee, do you think it is silly that Dad takes pictures so early in the morning?  At least all of you got showers!

It was a quick day at work, and Mom and Dad headed home to pack up the car and pick up Jordie and head to the airport to head to Ft. Lauderdale.  For some reason, Dad booked tickets on a flight at 8:00 p.m., but decided that did not make sense, so they were heading to the airport to try and get on an earlier flight.  Thanks to Gloria at U.S. Airways, Dad didn't have to pay for his mistake and we boarded the 6:15 p.m. flight.  Lucky for us, the 8:00 flight had been delayed until after 9:00 p.m.

That Gloria was a nice lady, that security line was easy, but who are all these crazy people in this place?

This airport place is really silly!  Why are all these people running around?

Once we got on the plane, we realized that not only did Gloria hook us up with the earlier flight, but she also put us in our own row.  We definitely need to send in a big Thank You to Gloria.  Jordie had plenty of room to stretch out in the middle of the row.

Dad, what is that noise?  Is it a bird?  Is it Superman?  No, it is a plane, silly!

The flight went well, but the landing was pretty rough on Jordie's ears.  She was not a happy camper, but after we landed we learned a big surprise, Grandma Toddie was coming with Grampy to pick us up at the airport.

Of course I am not going to sleep!  We are waiting on Great Grandma Toddie, could you sleep?

Great Grandma Toddie got her first look at Jordie at the airport.  "Pictures don't do her beauty justice!  She is amazing!"

 Grandma Toddie needed just a little more time with Jordie in her first visit, so she and Grampy joined us for a little bit at the hotel so she and Jordie could meet each other.
