Day 31 - The Sweetest Thing...

What a day!  Today is a big day for multiple reasons, including Dad's first day off on leave, Aunt T is coming into town, a doctor's appointment, but most importantly it was exactly 1 month ago today that the sweetest thing in this world arrived.  It is hard to believe Jordie is 1 month old.

Jordie slept really well last night.  Mom actually had to wake her up at 5:30 this morning so she could eat.  Otto also decided that would be a good time for him to go to the bathroom, so the whole Family got up at 5:30 a.m.

Doing some yoga in preparation for the Doctor's office.  Dad put a bow in my hair - he is silly!

Jordie had her 1-month check-up today.   She visited Dr. Lye, who saw her when she was still in the hospital.  All things checked out well, except for that darn shot - painful for her and her Mom and Dad to watch.  Jordie's 1 month stats:

• Weight:  9 lbs 11.5 ounces - 75th percentile
• Height:  22 inches - 50th percentile
• Head/Smarts:  38 cm - 95th percentile (come on, have you seen my Dad and Mom?)

That is some serious pain and I don't even get a sucker or sticker yet?

Luckily for Jordie, she had a great afternoon coming up after her shot.  Aunt Taylor was heading into town from Raleigh to spend the night.  Aunt T was so surprised to see how big Jordie has gotten in 1 month.

Aunt T - You are the best!  I am thinking that you and I should be friends!

Later in the afternoon, it was time for Jordie to have some sort of pictures taken that will of course become a regular photo shoot for each month.  We decided to use a chalk board to recognize her birthday and keep people in the loop on her stats and a stuffed lamb to show her size.

Mom, you think you could keep my daily menu up to date on this thing?  

Alright Lambie, this is the deal, you will do what I say and you won't get hurt!  Cuddle and sleep with me through time or you will be the inside of my coat, got it?
