Happy New Year everyone! It is 2013, can you believe it? Jordie woke up at RaRa and Grampy's house but was ready to head home because it was time to party. It was time for her 8 month photo shoot and Mom and Dad's annual New Years Day Dinner. Jordie is really showing her skills these days. She is working with her puzzles she got for Christmas and today was able to stand on her own and play with her game from Aunt Heidi for a little bit.

RaRa realized this morning that it is time to go get something to contain Jordie. She is definitely getting to the point of finding her way into things.

After Jordie got home, it was time for her photo shoot and everyone knows that the photo shoots turns out some pretty good shots other than the main one. It was tough to keep Jordie's concentration during the photo shoot because she was finally reunited with her puppy dog after one night. She immediately rolled over to him and gave him a big hug. We finally had to separate the two of them as Otto started licking.

After the photo shoot, Jordie decided she needed to play with some of her toys. She was able to stand and play for a bit on her own.
It would not be New Years Day, if Dad was not cooking up some pork (for good health), black eyed peas (for good luck) and collard greens (for money). At the last minute, Mom and Dad decided to have some friends over today to partake in the festivities. They were lucky to be joined by several friends, including Jordie's friends.

Dad wanted to make sure that he got pictures of Jordie and her friends on New Years Day. Dad found it really difficult to get all those babies coordinated for a photo. Jordie took a particular liking to her new friend, McNeil Smith. She wanted to make sure he felt comfortable joining the crowd for a photo, so she reached out her hand to help.

We got a pretty good picture with Gavin Hauth holding the group together in the middle. Unfortunately, we woke up little Franklin from a nap, but big sis, Samantha, did a great job getting him ready for the photo. Jordie was sure to continue to hold McNeil's hand throughout the pictures.

After all of our friends headed out, it was time for a quick bath and then bed. Jordie had a big day and was very tired.
