Day 305 - Chain Reaction....

It was kind of a strange day in Charlotte and at the Hawkins house.  The weather was very gloomy with snow flurries, rain and ice alternating throughout the day.  Everyone who knows us, knows that Jordie probably runs a high risk for some food allergies, which runs in both Mom and Dad's families.  We have been very fortunate to date to not have any issues as we try one food out after another.  Today, we may ran into our first scare.  We let Jordie try some organic cheesy poofs for babies, which she really liked.  It was not long before Mom noticed her lip starting to swell.  Cheesy Poofs are now off the list.

My lips sure do feel funny!
Jordie had a big morning with Mom, Dad and Otto.  She crawled all over and let Otto love all over her throughout the morning.  Once again, weekends bring along really good naps for Jordie.  She loves her mid mid-day naps on Saturdays, going for over 2 hours 15 minutes.  While she was asleep, Mom went to lunch with Mrs. Tami and then headed to the grocery store.  Jordie is learning new tricks really fast.  Now that she has her crawling down, it is on to banging on cabinets, trying to open cabinets and even thinking about walking.

I mean, now that I am crawling, why not?

Otto, do you see that door right there?  Let's bang on it!
Like this!
Prior to her afternoon nap, is when Jordie tried out her new treat.

Cheesy poofs, you are so tempting!
Jordie's lips immediately started to go back down, but Mom and Dad wanted to make sure they had some benadryl around the house, just in case.  The family loaded up and headed back to the store.  Even without swollen lips, Jordie is making some funny faces with her lips these days.  We will try to share more of those pictures in the days to come.

Yes, I can see that my lips look a little funny in the mirror

Jordie asked that we include a picture of her not so secret companion in the blog.  The two of them are inseparable, unless he is hanging in the bath tub.  Jordie is not sure what to think about his new hairdo, but said it looks like something you may see on an old lady after a do it yourself perm.

It is NOT a perm!
