Day 332 - Cruisin'

Today was going to be an active day for Jordie, no matter what.  Waking up with Aunt Heidi and Kelly at the house, having some breakfast and then getting to see Granddaddy before nap time.  Also, saying goodbye to Mommy, Aunt Heidi and Kelly as they headed off to Kentucky for the race, then waking up from a nap to see Gee and Pop waiting to play.  What a great day!  In addition, Jordie took another milestone step today, when she started cruising behind her walker.

Hey Mom, Look at me, I am eating my veggies!
Jordie was loving waking up to multiple people to hang out with this morning.  She was enthralled as everyone raced around getting ready.

Come on Kel, I know it was you who passed gas.  You don't have to blame the baby!
Grandaddy was in town for a football game and dropped by to pay a visit.  He loved Jordie's favorite new game too.  He let Jordie play pool with him for a little while.  Not sure Dad was so excited about Jordie throwing the pool balls, but she loved it.

Can you say excitement?

When Jordie woke up from her nap, Gee and Pop had arrived for the weekend.  It was more playtime and Jordie just had to show them some of her new tricks.

Lunch of champions!
Gee, you think this is a good duck or a bad duck?
Then it happened, right after Gee and Dad were talking about the idea of Jordie being able to walk at the beach this summer, we looked down and she was behind her walker, starting to cruise.  We felt terrible Mom had left for her trip, but we had to get it on film.  We are thinking Jordie was giving inspiration to Mom for her big run tomorrow, if Jordie can walk a few steps, Mom can get through that half marathon.

After cruisin for a good while, it was time to take a rest and get ready for a much needed nap.

Someone was cruised out this afternoon.

Jordie was able to get a little more play time in before heading to bed for the night.  It is amazing what a few tiny steps will do for a baby's confidence level and risk taking.  She now has her sights on everything she couldn't do before.

What do you mean, how did I get back here?  I cruised, duh!
