Day 205 - The Thanksgiving Song

Turkey for me, Turkey for you.  Well not really.  Jordie decided to hold off on trying turkey and stuck with her routine of green beans and sweet potatoes.  The world will be shocked to know she prefers the green beans, because we are!  Today was Jordie's first Thanksgiving and Grammy and Grampy were here and John Phelps and his parent's Chris and Fred.  Later on, Aunt Susie and Uncle Russ and Cousin Parker came over for dessert.  All in all, a pretty good Turkey Day!

Ok, I'll give you that the dress is cute.  But let's talk headbands.  With these locks, who needs any hair accessories.  Stop trying Mom, just give up.
Jordie woke up bright and early to help Mom with the sweet potatoes and turkey prep.  She was very helpful in the kitchen doling out advice on measurements and herbs to try.  She wants to have some acknowledgement in the cookbook Mom will someday publish.

Some room decor and action shots.  Hey Mom, where am I - you know the cranberry and floating candle concept was all mine!

After making sure the turkey would be edible, Jordie started to watch the Macy Parade.  She didn't get too far before nap time, but she did enjoy the dancing and songs with Dad.  During her nap, Mom and Grammy ran to Harris Teeter for a few last minute items.  Mom wanted to make dad a casserole from his Thanksgiving's past - Asparagus Casserole.  Jordie told Mom she'd sit that one out this year.

I'm tired of making these two look good.  Again with the headband,  I'm sure that was to help Mom make her think her hair looked good.
Perfection Grampy.  You know how my hair looks best, and my favorite accessory.  The paci, not a dumb headband.  Now let's watch some FOOTBALL.
Grammy and Grampy - you make me smile!  We are looking good!
Now Mr. Phelps, I hadn't met you.  But your wife, Mrs. Phelps, and your son John - we're old friends!
Susie, Russ and Parker!  You all are some favorites.  You also know how to help me look my best and I appreciate that about you.
