The clock is ticking down. The eve of Jordie's first birthday. Where did the year go? The experiences of the first year have been amazing for all of us. Thinking about all that has happened since a year ago today. The things that Jordie has been able to do in her first year of life. The people that she has met and the places she has been able to go. It all started with a drop, one year ago today. I can't help but think about the number of times I will look back at this blog to think about what an exciting year it has been. Yes, there have been some sad times, but the sweet face of Jordie Hawkins can't help but brighten your day. We don't really have memories of our first year of life, only the stories that family and family friends can share about us. One day, Jordie will be able to look back at her first year, and without a doubt know what she was like on a day to day basis. The good nights, the sleepless nights, the stressful nights and the sick nights. They will all be here for her to see.

Each day that passes, Jordie does something to prove how big she is getting. Other times, you just need to look at a picture to see how big Jordie is getting. Jordie actually ate some of her lunch with a fork today. Over 6 months ago, we were concerned about Jordie moving up a classroom because of the 1 year old who was stomping around the room, and we are afraid other parents may be thinking the same thing about Jordie these days. Today, Mom showed up just as a fire drill was going on at school. During fire drills, the infant rooms are taken out in cribs to make sure they all get out. Jordie shared a crib and was rocking the crib back and forth when they were outside.

Jordie continues to be obsessed with Otto. Poor Otto's escape efforts are becoming more and more difficult as Jordie is getting much more comfortable moving from object to object on her feet.

| Otto, just a few more weeks and I will be getting on that couch with you! |

| Who me? |
Jordie was in a really good mood this evening before bed. She was full of laughs and smiles.
