Day 1 - Jordie Meets World

Full Day One for Jordie Hawkins was an exciting one.  A few highlights from full day one include:

• First visit with Pediatrician - Dr. Koontz - she gave Two Thumbs Up
• Pooping - Jordie was ahead of the crowd when it comes to proper poops
• Feeding - They say Jordie is a true pro
• Visiting - Jordie's friends started showing up around lunch time - excited to meet her 
• 1 Day Check up - Jordie lost a few ounces (~5 ounces) since birth - very normal
• Just a little jaundice but nothing a little time in the sun won't fix

I get to spend a little snuggling with my Dad in the A.M. too.

RaRa came back to visit me today.  She is starting to be obsessed with me!  She said that she checked out all my parts and that all my parts are perfect, including my hair, ears, lips, toes, fingers and everything.

Mary did my 1 day check-up - I am officially 24 hours old - all checked out - just a little jaundice but nothing to worry about for me!

Then all of my new friends came to visit - what a fun time - so many people got to hold me and love on me today:

Eric and Grace came to see me during lunch today.  I can't wait to meet my friend Gavin!  They said Gavin did a little dance for me when I was born.

Jess was here too.  She brought me some sweet pink socks!  I have to load up on my pink gear now! 

John (for some reason Dad calls him Fred) was here today.  Mom and Dad say he is my neighbor!  Looking forward to some fun times in Springs Village with him.

Cami came to see me with some beautiful flowers!  She was so sweet to me.  Sounds like she and Mom have been friends for a long time!

My cousin Susie was here too!  She brought me an amazing outfit with a lucky penny - she was so sweet and told us an amazing story about that penny

RaRa's friend, Cindy, had to stop by - she said she could not contain her excitement and wait any longer.  She loved my hair.

Suzanne and Kevin brought me some flowers and cool little rattle from my future friend Kendall!  I can't wait until we can play together.  Kevin said he knew I was a girl the whole time!

Laura and Nathan were so excited to meet me.  They couldn't believe I got here so soon.  They sent pretty flowers that Mom and Dad say they are going to plant in the backyard to remember my birthday.

This guy has the best birthday in the World!  Lanier and I share May 1st!  He was so nice and so excited about my birthday.  He, Lesley, George and Betty gave me the best gift ever.  Dad is putting a picture below.

Tami came after dinner to visit me.  She loved on me and hugged me and held me for a good while.   She also brought some cool things for Mom.  She said she is ready to put bows in my hair already.

The moment that I have been waiting for.....my Aunt Heidi's flight landed at 11:00 p.m.  She quickly jumped in a cab and headed straight to the hospital.  I ate and napped right before she got there so I would be ready for her.

Dad met Aunt Heidi at the front of the hospital to help her with her bags.  She was so super excited!

She was a real pro - I really liked to into her eyes last night.  I think she loves me already!

So many people brought me so many great gifts.  Lots of flowers decorated our room, so take a look at the pretty girly flowers:

Lanier, Lesley, George and Betty gave me a blanket that my Aunt Emily made for George when he was born.  We are so excited and overwhelmed to have this masterpiece.  It was so sweet of George and Betty to give us this special little memory to keep me comfy.
