Day 5 - Times, they are a changing

The first night home has come and gone.  We learned a couple of things from the first night at home with a newborn:

1) People were right when they said "You will be on pins and needles the first night home with a newborn."

2) That "worry sleep" Moms always refer to is a real thing - gone are those full nights of peaceful sleeps (it is worth it)

3) How did people count newborns' poops, pees and feedings when they did not have an App for that?

After logging more poops in our app than hours of sleep, it was time to start our first full day of sleep.  Penny was sweet enough to give me a couple of hours of sleep in the morning, so I could try to be refreshed.  Penny needed her sleep later in the day, she VERY much deserved it!

Sweet Lil' Nugget

We started our day with a visit from Cami and her sister Taylor.  Cami got to help feed a little bit of a bottle today.

Today was a big day for Jordie, her Grandaddy and Nana headed into town to set sights on their newest grandchild for the first time.  They would have been there sooner, but Grandaddy had surgery the day Jordie was born for a sporting event injury.

Also, today, RaRa and Grampy Hecht came over for a visit.  Luckily, RaRa is staying the night.  She is going to be a big help.  In addition Aunt Heidi is now staying with us as well.   Jordie is PUMPED!  Jordie is sad that her Aunt Kelly is leaving today - she has been a big help and we can't wait to factime with her, Remy, Camden and Scott - Jordie thinks they all sound like a lot of fun.

Love at first sight with Grandaddy and Nana - heard that one before?
"You have a pretty good grip Grandaddy, bum shoulder and all."

Otto is waiting on me to be able to go on a walk with him
Raleigh Times!
RaRa is a baby and dog whisperer!  Comfy on the couch after dinner
