Day 7 - It's Been One Week

Time flies when you are having fun.  It is hard to believe that one week ago today, Sweet Jordie entered this world.

Jordie is really picking up her eating habits and pooping habits.  She also continues to be very alert when she is not sleeping.

Photo of the Day 7:

Otto and I really are going to be best friends!  He sat with me all day during nap time, just protecting me.

Jordie continues to show the strength in her arms and legs that Penny felt for the last month or so.  For the last couple of days since leaving the hospital, I have felt bad that my swaddling skills just weren't up to par, because every time we checked on Jordie, there she was lying on her back with both arms flailing to and fro, and not inside the blanket where we left them.

Last night we attempted to use the "sleep sack," a device that is suppose to swaddle without the hard work.  I felt much better this morning about my skills after seeing that Jordie had busted her arms out of the sleep sack too.

Evidence A :  Arm is out of the swaddle!

Dad had to go back to work today.  Mom let him sleep a lot last night so he would be well rested for his first day back.  He really lingered around for a while this morning, seemed to me that he really wanted to stay home.  Luckily, he is going back for a few weeks and then planning on staying home during the month of June to spend time with me and Mom.

Dad is not happy to be suited up and going to work.

While Dad was at work, Mom, RaRa, Aunt Heidi and I all had a great time at home - they dressed me up in my new jeans and a hat RaRa made me.

Grampy Hecht stopped by around lunch.  He picked up RaRa to take her home this afternoon.

I think RaRa had a good couple of days hanging out with me.  She was kind of sad to go!  She is welcome back anytime.

A great surprise today!  Great Grandpa Jack, Great Aunt Jody and Great Uncle Fro sent us a fruit basket.
I did get a little cat nap in this afternoon!

Shhhh!  Dad came home early today to see me.  He said he voted first though.  I just can't shake Otto, he can't leave my side.  I guess that means he loves me!

Brett, from Mommy's work, brought us dinner tonight from Porcupine Provisions - it was delicious!

First walk around the neighborhood today.  We saw this lady who I recognized cause she had yelled at my Mom before, so I yelled back today!

My Uncle Matt arrived tonight.  Very excited to have him here in Charlotte from Corvallis, OR.  Aunt Heidi was also very excited to have him here.

Uncle Matt has a great smile and beard!  He was a natural.  I fell right asleep in his arms!
