Day 12 - Baby Mama

Mother's Day 2012 sure is a special day at the Hawkins house.  Penny's first official Mother's Day.  Yeah, Otto got her some flowers for the ones he ate last year, but that doesn't really count.  This year we were blessed with an amazing little girl just in time for Mother's Day.

One happy Mama and baby!

Jordie got to go and visit RaRa/Grampy Hecht's house for Mother's Day.  We had to say goodbye to Aunt Heidi and Uncle Matt before they headed out of town.

It was pretty neat that on Mother's Day Davidson United Methodist Church (where Penny and I got married) announced Jordie's birth during the service and also had a rosebud on the altar in her honor.  A special sermon was given by Jody Seymour on "Strange and Wonderful Families."  Jordie didn't attend church this Sunday, but hopefully she will get to hear Jody before he retires.  We really like him.

After a nutritious (I use the term loosely) Mother's Day lunch from Tenders, we settled in for a final afternoon with Aunt Heidi and Uncle Matt before they headed home for Oregon.  While we were hanging out, we had friends come over and visit us.  First, Kevin, Suzanne and Baby Kendall Leder came to meet me.  I think that Kendall and I are going to get into some trouble together in the future (Dad was slack and didn't take any pictures of me with the Leders, me and Kendall will have to do a photo shoot at a later date).  Our friends Cami and David also came over for a visit!  Love my new friends getting to visit me.

Love all my new friends!  They are always bringing me stuff!  David brought this all the way from Malaysia!
After his World Tour, David stopped by to check me out!  He was so nice!

Tonight, I took part in a true Hecht house tradition!  B.A.Ts (Bomb A$$ Tacos).  Dad made some guacamole!  After dinner, we retired for some TV watching before bed, and I got to spend some last minutes with Aunt Heidi and Uncle Matt.

I am going to miss my Aunt Heidi - until I see her again on Facetime!!
Uncle Matt makes me laugh and sometimes toot, but mostly laugh!
